It's time to get signed up for the October leagues!!! PLEASE notify me by Tuesday September 29th if you plan on participating in the October League.
We will be using the same format as last month. Players who or new or those with smaller collections are more than welcome.
So players may choose to play:
standard 2000 point matched play game. Roll random scenario for General's Handbook.
a 1000 point meeting engagement.
or a 1000 point modified scenario from the General's handbook.
The newer player or player wishing to play the Meeting Engagement sets the game type if players can't agree.
Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
thanks, Chris

Johnny D and I got our game in. The Tzeentch shooting was a bit stronger than it looks on paper. 😅 My Daemons were able to take the win once they were able to leaver their territory and win back some more points in turn 4 and 5.

Dru's Idoneth Deepkin and my Stormcast Eternals reenacted the opening scene of Jaws, although I think the girl in the water had a better chance than my Stormcast did. As the general, I did a good job of mimicking the kid passed on the beach doing absolutely nothing to help out. Dru in a route!!

The Stormcast Chamber hailing from JAC games heard news of a Tzneetch attack incoming. Their intelligence informed them the enemy force was heavily leaden with flamers of tzeentch and lead by a greater daemon of Tzeentch. They planned on drawing the daemons into a kill zone and have a force lead by the Celestant prime into the daemons flanks and wipe out their fire support and command structure in one fell swoop. Little did they know that Kairos Fateweaver and his cabal of wizards raised a barrier of pure chaos magic and prevented any lighting insertion onto the battlefield. This meant that the Celestant Prime had to lead from the front and take the daemons head on.
The forces of Tzeentch were able to take the initiative and laid down suppressive fire on the front unit of judicators and they set up for a storm cast counter charge. The combined fire power of a second unit of judicators, the Primes comet call and supporting fire from two ballista were able to send the flamers of tzeentch back to the realm of chaos. Kairos readied his forces for their planned counter attack and punch through the Stormcasts front line, but the lord of trickery was duped by the forces of sigmar. Just as the storm wrought knights of order finished their initial attack, they were got their second win and pressed their advantage before Tzeentch could counter. The force of their second charge broke the Daemonic forces and sent Kairos back to the crystal labyrinth.
TLDR; We played total commitment, the only mission that we could see that didn't allow reserves. This really threw off Chris' plans. I took first turn and only killed one unit but set up for a second round of shooting the next turn. Chris pushed up the center and took out most of my flamers and played hoping for a double turn. He won the roll off and took the double turn for the win. It was a pretty fun game and I can't wait for a rematch!

The Idoneth from Fuethán showed up in force to try to douse the flames of Tzeentch's Eternal Conflagration. Their Namarti took the field and advanced under withering fire from the Tzeentchian forces. They picked off some of the lesser daemons but paid for it in chaos fire. The Tzeentchian forces then took the field after seemingly clearing their path to victory, but were then flanked on both sides by Akhelian Eel riders. The strange cavalry stormed the Daemonic forces position and devastated their lines. They were successful in sending almost half of the Flamers of Tzeentch and a plurality of Blue Horrors of Tzeentch back to the realm of chaos. Just as the remaining Daemons were set to return fire and burn the elf things to ash, the Avatar of the Mathlann drew all their fires of change onto himself and rendered them null and void.
Kairos Fateweaver sought to chastise the avatar of a false god for his insolence and smote him with chaos magic, bringing the Avatar with in an inch of death. Seeing that the Avatar would survive his magic assault, Kairos sent his Exalted Flamers to bring down Volturnos, who was reeking his own bloody toll on the Tzeentchian flanks. The high king of the Idoneth was overwhelmed in the fires of change, were it not for his mounts hasty retreat from the field of battle, the king would have surely perished. Despite the daemonic froces best efforts, the Idoneth, under the Mathlaan's protection, continued to reek havoc on the daemonic forces. Kairos and a majority of his flamers and horrors' physical forms were destroyed. The flamers of Tzeentch were able to burn their attackers before dissipating though and the resulting damage did fell the Avatar.
Once the forces of the Idoneth lost their main force and their twin leaders, their forces started to crumble. Seeing their opponents forces starting to route, the Remaining Changecaster lead his daemonic brethren in a counter charge to take back the field and eventually win the battle.
TLDR; My Daemons we able to beat Dru's Idoneth in turn five after a pretty deadly game. I can't wait for a rematch. I think the forces of Tzeentch were able to avenge their Nurgle brothers who died in droves to Dru's Sylvaneth.
