Hey Everyone, I looked into the game and it looks cool. And it has a lower price point than 40k! I was wondering if anyone had any tips of how to enter the game/ what to get? I am looking at the droids. I was wondering if there is a normal rally day other than the game day I could go to and see how the various armies played. -Ian

Fortunately the Republic/Separatist armies just came out, so there isn't a lot to buy.
You'll want to pick up the Clone Wars Core Set, that's the box with Grievous advancing. This will give you Grievous, two B1 droid squads (vanilla "roger, roger" battle droids), and a droideka unit (the droids that roll around and have shields). You also get dice, range and movement markers, and various tokens. Also you'll get some Republic units if you ever want to use them.
The other Separatist products that have been released are additional B1 squad, droideka unit, and Count Dooku. The first two are identical to what comes in the core set, but Dooku is unique and available only as a separate product. A legal army is 800 points and requires three corps units, so at the very least you would need to buy another B1 squad box. Due to the cheap cost of B1 droids, to field a full army you would likely need additional B1 squads unless you also buy Dooku and run a list with two leaders.
As of right now aside from game day every second Friday of the month, there is no set day that people typically play Legion.
