Hey everyone, I see it’s been quiet in this thread for awhile so I wanted to ask a couple things. Does anyone still play kill team? I’m looking to get into it and already have 2 full 40k armies, so really I just need the rule book. Is there anything else I absolutely need?

The core rulebook is all you need, but the Elites book will give you more model options and the ability to add sub-faction abilities (here is a list of what the various factions have in Core and Elites 1d4chan.org/wiki/Warhammer_40,000/Tactics/Kill_Team(8E)_Imperium 1d4chan.org/wiki/Warhammer_40,000/Tactics/Kill_Team(8E)_Chaos 1d4chan.org/wiki/Warhammer_40,000/Tactics/Kill_Team(8E)_Xenos ). Tokens will be useful, but not essential and basically have to be bought on Etsy at this point. I don't know about anyone else (until this past week, I've been away from the shop for a while), but I'd like to play some KT now that I can use Assault Marines. At least one other guy at the shop may be down, too.

Thank you. Is kill team just not that fun? Curious on why it seemed so popular but doesn’t look like anyone plays

The game is really fun! I think it seems like most people want to play bigger games when it comes to warhammer tabletop. Smaller games like this and underworlds seem to not get as much traction. You can always post on here and get some games in.

I know that I personally prefer Kill Team over full 40k. I like the smaller army size and the fact that games don't take 2+ hours.
I think the pretty strict restriction on which models you can use didn't help it's staying power. Hopefully Elites will change that.
