We will be starting a Warmachine Hordes shop League to kick off the new year in January. Players of all experience levels are welcome to join. The league will be round robin format, so each player will play each other player in the league one time. At the end of the league we’ll have a League Tournament.
When players meet up for league games, they may play any size game and format. Newer players, or players starting new armies are more than welcome to play in the league, and their games can be at smaller point levels. Anything from a 0 point battlebox game and up is permitted. Journeyman League or rulebook scenarios will be used for smaller games.
Veteran players feel free to play standard 75 point steamroller scenarios.
Players will pick a faction to play with for the course of the league. However, if for some reason you get burned out playing a faction, you’ll be allowed to switch to a different faction. The new faction selected must be used for the remainder of the league.
Players who want to participate in the league will be expected to play, on average, 3 or 4 games in a month. Players can schedule their matches whenever they like, additionally, there will be a Friday night rally night, and a Saturday rally day each month. Multiple games should be able to be had on these days.
We will use a weekly scheduler to help keep us on task, but as mentioned above, players can play their games whenever they like, and meet on rally days to get a couple weeks of games in if they like. All league games need to be played at JAC Games, it's a shop league.
We will track wins and losses for the round robin format. The round robin records will be used to seed a single elimination tournament at the end of the league.
There will be a one time $20 entrance fee for the league. All the money collected will be paid out in prizes as store credit after the tournament. The prize money will be split between participation, hobby, and competitive play.
Any questions, please feel free to ask. We've used this format for several other game systems now, and it's been great. I'm really excited to get some Warmahordes going again, as it's an amazing game, one of my all time favorites!
Thanks,
Chris
